This years Formula DRIFT – Slammed Society Event had a great turn out. Entering its ninth season, Formula DRIFT is recognized as the North American professional drifting championship. Established on the streets of Japan, drifting has evolved into a worldwide competitive sport that challenges each driver’s driving ability and vehicle control. About a month ago, the South African Ravin’ Rapper trio Die Antwoord performed at the Nokia Thatre in Los Angeles just prior to playing their new single “I Fink U Freeky” on the Letterman stage in New York and two songs from their new album “Ten$ion”—including “Freeky”—in Los Angeles on the Jimmy Kimmel show. Wow, what a great show! We didn’t know what to expect from the South African Ravin’ Rappers, all in all for being an overly exposed underground electronic music group it was a great performance. If you like the the offensive lyrics on ”I Fink U Freeky” and “Fatty Boom Boom” check out this interview they did with online magazine the Stranger.
